WELLCOR CONTROL is a proprietary blend of two naturally occurring substances, Alpha-Lipoic Acid and L-Carnitine, that provide important health benefits for cardiac health.

The body needs Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) to produce energy and for basic metabolic functions. ALA has been called "the universal antioxidant" because it can neutralize free radicals in all cells and reduce the effects of oxidation which damages the cardiovascular system. ALA stimulates production of glutathione, an antioxidant which is produced by the body and helps reduce the damage from oxidative stress. Oxidative stress is associated with a number of diseases including, heart disease, stroke and diabetes.*

L-Carnitine, the second ingredient in WELLCOR CONTROL, plays several important roles in the human body, particularly in energy metabolism. Studies suggest that when the heart muscle is deprived of oxygen (i.e. heart attack and angina), fat breakdown and energy production are reduced and that carnitine concentrations may also be reduced. Supplementing with L-Carnitine may help restore energy production in the heart muscle. L-Carnitine may improve the ratio of HDL (good cholesterol) to LDL (bad cholesterol). Studies show L-Carnitine helps reduce muscle pain in individuals with poor circulation.*
